I am passionate about coaching chess—helping players master the board, gain clarity in their understanding of the game and build robust opening and middlegame strategies. My coaching framework goes beyond memorising moves; I teach players how to think critically, remain calm under pressure, and formulate actionable game plans in every phase of the game.
My life and strategic outlook are deeply rooted in chess, a game I have played competitively for over 30 years. As the 1997 Zimbabwe National Junior Champion, the 2017 World Open U1800 Champion, and someone who once held Super GM Wesley So to a famous draw IN AN INFORMAL GAME WITH TIME ODDS or HANDICAP, I bring decades of high-level experience directly to my students.
I co-founded two of the most prominent Pan-African chess platforms, Africa Chess Net and Africa Chess Media, and built thriving online communities including Africa Chess News and Africa Lichess Events. As Operations Manager for Millionaire Chess in Atlantic City—helping coordinate one of the richest open tournaments in history—I am deeply invested in growing chess talent at every level.
